Energy analysis is of the utmost importance when it comes to sizing financed solar arrays. Build a system too small and the Host Facility isn’t optimizing their savings. Build a system too big and they might be paying for energy they don’t need. Additionally, commercial tariffs have added complexities of demand and time of use, as well as the potential to flip to other tariffs in the same ‘family’. All of this has led to much uncertainty around project sizing and tariffs.
At Wiser Capital we have prided ourselves in using a data driven approach that allows us to make accurate predictions about future utility and solar based costs. We then optimize system size and tariff to save the Host Facility the most money possible and eliminate confusion about what system is ‘best’.
Unfortunately this has meant a lot of data inputs for our users. We are working to change that. We have recently launched a beta version of our data upload featuring Green Button. The goal is that our users will be able to pull one file from their utility and simply upload that to the Wiser Capital platform. Right now we are beta testing in Southern California Edison (SCE), Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E). While this feature is up and running, we need more data to ensure all the kinks are worked out.
Do you have a project in the California IOUs that needs a power purchase agreement?
We can help! Just send us basic project information and 12 full months of data from the Green Button Download My Data tool (or utility log in information) and we’ll see if you have an economically feasible project. If the project is feasible we’ll provide you with a financial analysis and work with you to see if the project is bankable.
At the same time, you’ll be helping us move from Beta testing to full roll out, which will further streamline the funding process. To participate simple email our Account Services Team and let us know you’re interested. We’ll walk you through the process and ensure it’s as seamless as possible.
